Job summary

Illumina Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Singapore design facility. You will contribute to cutting-edge sequencing instrument development, with emphasis on board-level design, power and thermal management, and cross-functional collaboration across firmware, software, and hardware teams.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical engineering, strong analog/digital/mixed-signal knowledge, system modelling, and experience with instrument development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Electrical Engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
• Experience with system design, simulation and modelling.
• Experience with data analysis and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Knowledge of cable assembly and wire harness design.
• Firmware and software familiarity for instrument development.

Responsibilities

• Perform board-level design with focus on power, thermal, size and complexity.
• Lead failure analysis and drive containment and permanent solutions.
• Develop instrument telemetry systems with firmware/software teams.
• Advance analysis and support tools for instrument performance data.
• Identify EMI/EMC issues and mitigate during design and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and cost.
