Job summary

Digital Edge Data Center in Singapore is seeking a Senior Director, Construction Health and Safety to lead strategic health and safety alignment across APAC construction projects, partnering with Design & Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Operations teams to establish robust standards and continuous improvement programs.

The role requires 15+ years of H&S leadership in large-scale environments, strong governance and risk-management capabilities, and regular travel across the regional

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive Health and Safety experience across large-scale construction, commissioning, and/or major capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of international Health and Safety standards, risk management principles and regulatory requirements.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and embedding Health and Safety into project planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior Health and Safety technical authority for construction across APAC, setting strategic direction and assurance requirements.
• Work with Design & Engineering and Construction teams to strengthen Design for Safety and reviews.
• Lead improvement of H&S standards for high-risk construction activities and establish assurance frameworks.
• Define requirements for contractor prequalification, mobilisation, onboarding and performance evaluation.
• Define and maintain H&S assurance frameworks with risk-based inspections and audits.
• Develop and oversee competency and training programs for Construction teams.
