Job summary

ASM International N.V. in Singapore seeks a Senior Engineer, Software Engineering (DevOps) to build and maintain on-premise infrastructure for software development, testing, and automation across global teams.

You will design CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and develop React-based tools that unify infrastructure capabilities across product teams. This role involves collaboration with multiple engineering groups and occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on knowledge of Linux and/or Windows systems, including configuration, scripting, troubleshooting, or system administration.
• Programming or automation experience with Python and either Bash or PowerShell.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of Git and modern software development practices.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, network troubleshooting).

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and maintain on-premise infrastructure for software development, integration, and testing.
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Automate system setup, builds, deployments, testing, and workflows with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Develop React-based web applications and tools providing infrastructure capabilities.
• Configure and troubleshoot Linux/Windows systems, networking, storage, and servers.
• Support physical development and test environments, including hardware interfaces and simulation environments.
• Collaborate with Software Eng, QA, IT, Systems, and other teams to improve workflows.
• Help standardize engineering infrastructure across products and locations.
