Job summary

Nodeworthy is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and improve the production infrastructure for a high-traffic Solana-based exchange. You’ll manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud, Kubernetes clusters, and CI/CD pipelines, while driving observability, incident response and security across all environments.

The role is deeply hands-on and operates from design through ongoing operation, requiring strong security fundamentals and the ability to keep systems reliable and scalable under load.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of hands-on DevOps/SRE experience in cloud infrastructure and production engineering.
• Strong production experience with Google Cloud Platform or another major cloud provider.
• Deep experience deploying and operating Kubernetes in production.
• Strong knowledge of networking, Linux, containers, DNS, load balancing and cloud architecture.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building monitoring, logging, alerting and observability systems.
• Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve complex production incidents independently.
• Strong understanding of IAM, authentication, authorisation, secrets management and infrastructure security.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Go, Python, TS/Node.js, Java or Rust).
• Strong debugging, automation and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving engineering environment.
• Working knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain, DeFi and exchange infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate highly available production infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
• Manage and improve Kubernetes clusters, networking, compute, storage, databases and other managed services.
• Build reusable infrastructure through infrastructure-as-code and automation.
• Improve scalability, reliability, performance and cost efficiency of production systems.
• Establish consistent infrastructure standards across dev, staging and production.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks, configuration issues and operational risks.
• Evaluate and implement new infrastructure tools with clear value.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks for critical systems.
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, build systems and deployment workflows.
• Automate testing, builds, releases and production deployments.
• Secure source-code repositories, build environments and deployment credentials.
• Implement branch protections, approval workflows and rollback processes.
• Review infra-as-code and deployment configs for reliability and security.
