Job summary

Smallwood is seeking an experienced Senior Designer to lead the architectural design development and documentation of a major hospitality project in the Middle East. The candidate will oversee SD through Tender stages, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and ensure design intent and technical accuracy.

The ideal applicant has 8–10 years in international design consultancies, a degree in Architecture, and hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM (Revit). Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification.
• 8–10 years of relevant architectural experience with international design consultancies.
• Experience in luxury hotels and large-scale hospitality developments.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and BIM (Revit).
• Ability to manage architectural documentation from SD through Tender stages.
• Strong technical knowledge of detailing and multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Experience on Middle East projects is essential.
• Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Immediate availability strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate architectural design development and documentation from SD through Tender stage.
• Prepare, manage and review detailed architectural drawings, specifications and tender packages.
• Coordinate with international consultants, specialist designers and engineering disciplines.
• Ensure design quality, technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Manage drawing production, BIM workflows, interdisciplinary coordination and project deliverables.
• Work closely with the project leadership team to maintain design intent, program and quality standards.
