Job summary

ROTARY ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. seeks a Process Design Engineer to assist the Project Lead in process design activities for oil and gas projects.

You will review mechanical documents, assess vendor quotations, and coordinate with clients, vendors and government agencies to ensure code compliance and project success. You will help prepare schedules, manage document controls, and support procurement, construction and commissioning teams while upholding HSE standards and design integrity within the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required or preferred.
• 6 - 8 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry is desirable.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint is expected.

Responsibilities

• Support Process Design Engineer to Project Lead Process Design Engineer.
• Review & Checking of Mechanical Documents (RFQ, Specifications, Mechanical DataSheet, Technical Bid Evaluation) for compliance with codes, standards and requirements.
• Review Vendor Quotations and prepare Technical Bid Evaluation for Mechanical Equipment.
• Interface management with Lead Engineers, Client, Contractors, Vendors, Government Agencies and Certification agencies.
• Prepare, monitor and control Engineering Document Control List and expedite for delays, approvals, or resolutions.
• Review to ensure all works align with project specifications.
• Maintain design integrity and quality within the project engineering team.
• Prepare engineering schedules and man-hour estimates to meet project needs.
• Support Procurement Team for purchase of Mechanical Equipment.
• Review Vendor Documents post order for compliance with RFQ and discipline requirements.
• Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams to resolve site issues.
• Vendor coordination & procurement assistance.
• Prepare and comply for Engineering Audit requirements.
• Assign tasks, mentor and supervise Designers and Design Engineers.
• Provide technical assistance to construction activities and respond to site queries.
• Participate in discipline and inter-discipline design checks and reviews for completeness and correctness.
• Involve in FEED & Pre-Bid work including feasibility studies and MTO estimation.
• Participate in Bid Clarification, Kick-off, Pre-inspection, FAT, SIT.
• Visit Vendor shops for progress reviews.
• Support Construction and Commissioning teams for installation and commissioning.
• Promote safe working environment and ensure HSE rules are observed.
• Consider HSE aspects in planning and task execution to reduce hazards and risks.
• Perform any other ad hoc tasks.

• FEED & Pre-Bid works which involves Feasibility study & MTO estimation works.
• Participate in Bid Clarification Meeting, Kick Off Meeting, Pre-inspection Meeting, Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test etc.
• Vendor Shop visit for Work Progress
• Support Construction Team and Commissioning Team for the successful installation and commissioning of the Mechanical Equipment
• To be proactive in creating a safe working environment for everyone and ensuring that HSE in-house rules are observed at all times.
• To consider HSE aspects when planning and carrying out tasks to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks.
• Any other ad hoc tasks

Requirements

• Preferably Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Preferably 6 - 8 years of experiences in Oil and Gas industry
• Good proficiency in MS Excel, MS word, MS Power Point
