Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in mechanical equipment engineering for industrial plant EPC projects.
• Knowledge of rotating and static equipment.
• Familiarity with relevant engineering codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Ability to interpret process flow diagrams, P&IDs, equipment layouts, and mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant engineering calculation tools.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical equipment specifications, datasheets, calculations, and technical requisitions.
• Select and size mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, package equipment etc.
• Coordinate with process, piping, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation teams to resolve design interfaces.
• Review vendor quotations, conduct technical bid evaluations, and clarify technical requirements with suppliers.
• Review vendor drawings and documents for compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
• Support equipment lay out development, installation planning, and maintenance access reviews.
• Prepare and maintain engineering deliverables, equipment schedules, and project documentation.
• Support the procurement team with technical clarifications, equipment selection, and vendor coordination.
• Provide technical support to site teams during equipment installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Resolve engineering queries, site technical issues, and equipment-related discrepancies.
• Participate in vendor inspections, factory acceptance tests, and site inspections as required.
• Where applicable, support firefighting and ACMV system design and coordination.
