Job summary

Dementia Singapore Ltd. is seeking a Psychologist/Senior Psychologist to drive the development and implementation of new psychological services in the community setting and to deliver clinical care for people with dementia and their carers.

The role covers service development, stakeholder engagement, and high-quality clinical work in a multi-disciplinary team, with potential home visits and after-hours sessions to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years dementia/elder care experience preferred.
• SRP-registered psychologist.
• Willingness to travel to different locations in Singapore.
• Willingness to conduct home visits and therapy/assessment sessions on weekday evenings and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Implement and formalize new psychological services within the organization – (1) non-medical mental capacity assessments for LPA or Court-Appointed Deputyship applications, and (2) evidence-based interventions for persons with dementia.
• Build and maintain networks with relevant agencies and stakeholders to support service development.
• Represent the organization in stakeholder engagements and community collaborations.
• Facilitate administrative and operational processes with mental capacity assessment and psychotherapy workgroups.
• Provide evidence-based psychological interventions for persons with dementia and carers, including crisis interventions.
• Conduct clinical interviews and mental capacity assessments, and prepare timely reports.
• Provide clinical consultations, case reviews and contribute to multi-disciplinary teamwork.
• Organize learning circles with community partners to facilitate knowledge exchange in MCA, LPA and CAD, as well as therapy for dementia.
• Facilitate group supervisions for associate psychologists and/or interns.
• Manage and review client data for service evaluation and reporting.
