Senior Datadog Engineer - Observability & SRE Automation

Job summary

EXASOFT PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced observability engineer to manage and optimize the Datadog platform, dashboards, and monitoring configurations. You will implement APM, tracing, and synthetic monitoring while defining KPIs and SLOs to ensure service reliability.

You will collaborate with SRE, development, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot performance issues and automate monitoring with scripting languages. Experience with cloud providers and ITIL processes is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in monitoring, infrastructure, or application support.
• 3+ years of hands-on Datadog experience across APM, Logs, Metrics, RUM, and Synthetics.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of observability principles including metrics, logs, and traces.
• Experience with Terraform and ITIL processes is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the Datadog observability platform and monitoring configurations.
• Develop dashboards, alerts, service maps, and custom monitoring solutions.
• Implement APM, distributed tracing, RUM, log analytics, and synthetic monitoring.
• Define and track KPIs, SLIs, and SLOs to support service reliability.
• Integrate Datadog with incident management tools such as ServiceNow, PagerDuty, and OpsGenie.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and SRE teams to troubleshoot performance issues.
• Automate monitoring and reporting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Document best practices and provide technical guidance to team members.
