Job summary

Similarweb, a leading data analytics company, is hiring a Data Solution Engineer to join the DSI team in Singapore for APJ clients. You will blend client-facing skills, data fluency and storytelling to turn Similarweb data into actionable insights.

You will partner with GTM, R&D and client stakeholders, run discovery, present findings and prototypes, and design data-driven solutions including AI-enabled workflows. English fluency and a curious mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' client-facing, analytical or advisory experience.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Experience generating data samples or proofs of concept for clients.

We're hiring a Data Solution Engineer to join our DSI team in Singapore and serve clients across APJ. You'll combine client-facing polish, a curious, problem-solving mindset and technical fluency to help enterprise, investor and technology clients turn Similarweb data into an edge.

You'll partner with Go to Market, Research and Development, and client-side stakeholders, from analysts and portfolio managers to data sourcing teams, quants and senior technical leaders. You'll act as a trusted advisor on how our data can answer business and investment questions. The role works across divisions, and experience in the Investor vertical is highly advantageous.

What you'll do

• Run discovery with clients across APJ and turn ambiguous business or investment questions into clear data use cases.

• Present findings, demos and use-case narratives to enterprise and investor audiences

• Partner with Enterprise Sales and Account Managers to qualify opportunities, shape solutions and support expansion.

• Consult with clients on how Similarweb data can power AI agents and agentic workflows, and help design and prototype them.

• Generate and deliver data samples and proofs of concept tailored to client use cases.

• Write clear briefs for technical and R&D teams explaining what needs to be built and why.

• Build working knowledge of Similarweb's core data assets and how they are delivered (APIs, cloud storage, modern data stacks), so you can advise clients with confidence.

• Create reusable demos, templates and playbooks for use across APJ teams.

• Feed client insights and gaps back to Product and R&D on metrics, datasets and integrations.

What you'll bring

• Minimum 5 years' professional experience in a client-facing, analytical or advisory role. Examples include data or alternative data vendors, investment or equity research, consulting, pre-sales, or strategy.

• Fluent English, written and spoken

• Experience generating and delivering data samples or proofs of concept to clients or internal stakeholders.

• Strong communication skills: you can run a discovery call and present with confidence to demanding audiences.

• A curious, problem-solving mindset and a genuine interest in data and what it can reveal.

• Good project and stakeholder management, including coordinating across teams and managing timelines.

• An AI-first mindset: you already use AI tools and want to build your skills further.

• Comfort with technical datasets and enough understanding of APIs and cloud storage to brief technical teams.

Desired skills

• Understanding of data delivery mechanisms, including cloud data pipelines (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS/GCP), APIs and Model Context Protocol (MCP).

• Hands-on experience building or advising on AI agents or agentic workflows, including LLM context injection and structured data retrieval patterns.

• Hands-on SQL and/or Python.
