Job summary

Traveloka in Singapore seeks a strategic Senior Data Scientist to support analytics for Flight Commercial and Supply domains. You will build data culture, transform raw data into actionable insights, and influence product roadmaps with clear success metrics and automation.

You will partner with data/engineering to design data assets, automate analytics, and develop KPIs and dashboards that serve as the single source of truth for decision-making. Strong SQL and Python/R skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of data analytics, BI, data engineering or data science experience in travel/e-commerce domains.
• Expert SQL and Python/R for complex data modeling and automation.
• Experience building dashboards with Tableau/Looker/Power BI and scalable ETL processes.
• Exposure to AI/LLM-assisted workflows and evaluating model outputs is a plus.

About The Role

Traveloka is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior DS to support analytics for our Flight Commercial and Supply domains. This is a high-impact role in which you will provide visibility into operational performance from both supply and commercial perspectives. You will be responsible for building our data culture from the ground up, transforming raw data into commercial and supply strategy, and directly influencing the product roadmap. Your core mission is to ensure we make smart, fast, and accurate decisions through actionable insights, clear success metrics, and increasingly automated and AI-augmented ways of working.

What You'll Do

• Enable AI Agent Development: Partner with data/engineering teams to design and curate data assets, feature sets, and evaluation frameworks that power AI agents across the flight domain, including commercial and supply use cases (e.g., supply-anomaly detection, automated reporting agents). Help define what good looks like for agent outputs and validate them against business logic.
• Drive Process Automation: Identify manual, repetitive analytics and reporting workflows across the commercial/supply function and lead their automation, from query/report generation to recurring insight delivery, reducing turnaround time and freeing analyst capacity for higher-value work.
• Define and Measure Success: Develop, own, and evangelize KPIs and measurement frameworks for commercial and supply performance; build and maintain core dashboards/reports as the single source of truth.
• Simulation & Causal Insight Generation: Apply simulation modeling and causal inference to supply price and inventory quality, forecasting expected outcomes prior to implementation and measuring actual impact against a counterfactual baseline to support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

Technical Proficiency:

• Expert-level SQL for querying and manipulating large, complex datasets.
• Strong proficiency in Python (or R) for statistical analysis, data modeling, and automation.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) to build effective dashboards.
• Data engineering background, with experience building ETL pipelines, is a plus.
• Exposure to or strong interest in AI/LLM-assisted workflows (e.g., prompt engineering, working with AI agents/copilots, evaluating model or agent outputs), is a plus.

Analytical Rigor

• 3-5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or data science; travel, e-commerce, or airline/flight commercial experience strongly preferred.
• Comfortable tackling ambiguous problems with custom analyses (e.g., supply/demand forecasting,).
• Strong business acumen and a proactive, results-oriented mindset, with genuine curiosity about how AI and automation can reshape analytics work.
