Job summary

FedEx Singapore seeks a Data Science & Operations Research professional to apply existing predictive and optimization models to Air Network Planning and operational decisions. You will lead, design and support AI solutions in Google Cloud, using BigQuery, Vertex AI and Gemini to drive adoption and reliability.

You will analyze large datasets with SQL and Python, build dashboards, and communicate results to stakeholders, influencing planning decisions and process improvements across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in quantitative field as listed.
• 2–5 years of practical experience in applied Data Science, OR, Decision Science or advanced analytics.
• Hands-on experience applying predictive or optimization models to decisions.
• Strong SQL, Python, data analysis and visualization skills with Power BI, Looker, Tableau.
• Practical knowledge of predictive analytics, forecasting and statistics.
• OR knowledge or hands-on optimization, simulation, scheduling or resource allocation.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, business acumen and focus on practical outcomes.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
• Good planning, project coordination, communication and documentation skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Apply existing predictive, forecasting, simulation and optimization models to network planning and operational problems.
• Evaluate model outputs, run scenario analysis, and translate results into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with model developers, data engineers and business users to integrate solutions into planning workflows.
• Operate, monitor and support AI, ML and Generative AI solutions in GCP.
• Use GCP data and AI services to support integration, testing and adoption.
• Identify practical AI use cases and ensure solutions are reliable and aligned with business needs.
• Analyze complex datasets using SQL, Python, statistics and visualization tools.
• Develop dashboards, performance measures and analytical products for decisions.
• Communicate findings clearly and document analytic logic, assumptions and outcomes.
• Provide analytical expertise to digital transformation, process improvement and strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate work across teams and promote adoption through training and support.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to support management decision-making.
• Participate in automation and process improvement for network planning capabilities.
