Job summary

DSTA's Chief Information Office is seeking motivated Data Scientists to join a young, agile and multi-disciplinary team. You will drive the identification, development and delivery of high-impact solutions by applying a product-centric mindset, leveraging data, AI, advanced analytics and deep learning techniques to address real-world problems and deliver business value to DSTA.

As a Data Scientist, you will work on translating business problems into analytical models, building and deploying

Qualifications

• Degree in data analytics, computer science, information systems or computer engineering or related disciplines.
• Experience in developing and deploying data analytics or AI solutions (Senior role requires at least 2 years).
• Strong ability to manipulate data, perform exploratory analysis and develop models.
• Proven experience with product and problem framing and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI and data use cases considering data quality, constraints, and responsible AI practices.
• Translate business problems into analytical and machine learning models.
• Build complex models and conduct exploratory analysis on large datasets.
• Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to develop data pipelines.
• Develop and deploy data-driven solutions to improve decision-making and deliver business value.
• Drive experimentation, prototyping and iterative validation before full-scale development.
• Communicate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
