Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a senior Data Platform Engineer to build and optimize a scalable data infrastructure that powers growth initiatives. You will lead the construction of end-to-end data pipelines, including a Customer Data Platform (CDP) for unified identities and real-time analytics, and collaborate with growth teams to drive data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

5+ years of data engineering experience building scalable data platforms.
Experience with CDPs or user identity resolution is a plus.
Proficiency in a programming language (Kotlin/Java/Scala/Python/SQL).
Experience with Kafka, Spark, Flink, DBT, Hadoop, BigQuery or Snowflake preferred.
Ability to own end-to-end data solutions from design to deployment.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and optimization of data infrastructure for growth.
Design and implement ETL/batch and streaming pipelines for growth analytics.
Develop growth-focused tools and a growth engine for experiments.
Collaborate with analysts, product managers, and engineers to translate needs into data solutions.
Establish standards for data quality, monitoring, and maintainability.
Mentor junior engineers in distributed systems and data engineering.
