Job summary

SGX Group is seeking an AVP, Software Engineer (Data) to design, develop, and support scalable software solutions and APIs powering SGX's enterprise data ecosystem. You will work closely with Data Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Architects to enable trusted data products and self-service access across the organisation.

The role applies cloud-native practices, automation, and AI-assisted development tools to boost platform capabilities, productivity, and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Proven experience building production-grade data/platform services.
• Strong cloud, security-by-design and high-availability practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support scalable software and APIs for data platforms.
• Build secure, scalable components and participate in architectural decisions.
• Deliver production-ready software with CI/CD and test automation.
• Collaborate with Data/Platform Engineers and Architects to enable data products.
• Implement observability and production support for services.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, and foster engineering excellence.
