Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a senior engineer to lead its Knowledge Platform data/AI infrastructure in Singapore. You will shape architecture, development, and operation of systems powering the company’s data and AI initiatives.

You will drive technical direction, coordinate across teams to align roadmaps, and mentor engineers to build high-quality, scalable data platforms for real-time analytics and governance at global scale.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading data platform initiatives across multiple teams.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable data architectures.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on with multi-region data pipelines, reliability and security.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering craft and governance.

Responsibilities

• Set and drive the technical direction for Airwallex's data/AI platforms.
• Lead scalable data platform solutions across teams and roadmaps.
• Build and evolve the infrastructure behind the data ecosystem (Databricks, Spark, Kafka, etc.).
• Raise the bar on reliability, governance, and operational excellence while remaining hands-on.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a high-performing, innovative culture.
