Job summary

Patsnap is seeking a Data Engineer or Senior Data Engineer to build and evolve our data foundation behind global innovation intelligence and AI-powered products. You’ll handle patent datasets, design robust systems, and ensure data is accurate, reliable, and accessible for products and customers.

This hands-on role covers the full data lifecycle—from ingestion to storage, quality, performance, and availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, data engineering, software engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Java or Python with solid programming foundation.
• Familiarity with big data processing components such as Flink and Spark; performance optimization preferred.
• Familiarity with Linux systems and common operations.
• Strong sense of responsibility and proactive learning ability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily patent data operations including ingestion, parsing, storage, and backup with focus on security, stability and availability.
• Analyze data requirements, design data processing solutions, document, and implement code.
• Monitor data quality and optimize data integrity and accuracy.
