Job summary

United Overseas Bank Ltd. is seeking a Senior Officer, Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure. You will ensure data quality, governance, and scalable data platforms to support analytics and operations.

The role requires collaboration with data scientists and business stakeholders, as well as experience with big data technologies and container platforms. A hybrid work arrangement in Central Region is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• 1+ years of data engineering experience focusing on data pipelines and warehousing.
• Proficiency in Scala, Python, or Java.
• Experience with Quantexa data modeling is a plus.
• Experience with relational databases and big data tech is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data into data warehouses or lakes.
• Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and data dictionaries.
• Implement data governance for security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Monitor pipelines and optimize for reliability and performance.
• Document data engineering processes and designs.
