PATHSOURCE CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer in Singapore to support delivery of complex data-platform projects on a 6-month contract. The role emphasizes end-to-end data pipelines, data governance, and working at client sites.

You will design and operate scalable data pipelines, work across on-premise or hybrid environments, and contribute as a senior individual contributor. Extension may be considered based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Proven track record building production-grade data pipelines end-to-end.
• Experience with on-premise or hybrid infrastructure is preferred.

Job description

The client is a Singapore-based data consultancy seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to support the delivery of complex data-platform projects.

This is an initial six-month contract. An extension may be considered depending on project requirements and performance, but is not guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate scalable end-to-end data pipelines.
• Develop reliable data-platform components across on-premise or hybrid environments.
• Establish and maintain data governance, metadata, cataloguing and lineage capabilities.
• Monitor pipeline performance and ensure agreed reliability and service-level requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot data-quality, integration and platform-performance issues.
• Produce appropriate technical documentation and operating procedures.
• Work directly with technical stakeholders and client teams to translate project requirements into practical solutions.
• Contribute as a senior individual contributor without requiring a people-management remit.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, platform engineering or a closely related role.
• Proven experience building and operating production-grade data pipelines end to end.
• Strong exposure to on-premise or hybrid infrastructure; candidates whose experience is primarily limited to managed cloud services may be less suited to this requirement.
• Practical experience with Databricks, Snowflake or comparable enterprise data platforms.
• Experience in data governance, metadata management, catalogues or data lineage.
• Ability to operate independently in a senior technical capacity and communicate effectively with client stakeholders.
• Willingness to accept an initial six-month contract and attend client locations when required.

Preferred Experience

• Data-platform delivery within regulated environments such as banking, fintech, healthcare or data centres.
• Experience supporting high-volume or business-critical data infrastructure.
• Exposure to platform reliability, security controls and service-level management.

This position focuses on data-platform engineering and infrastructure. It is not primarily a business intelligence, dashboarding, visualisation or data-analyst role.
