Job summary

NCS is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design AI-ready data pipelines for production AI/ML and RAG systems in its Singapore hub. You will own ingestion, cleaning, and transformation, implement batch and streaming workflows, and ensure data quality and governance across regulated engagements.

Collaborating with AI Engineers and Architects, you will define what AI-ready data means per engagement, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to scalable, reusable patterns for future projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, including production-scale pipeline design.
• Strong SQL and at least one systems language; hands-on with batch/streaming frameworks.
• Experience building data pipelines for AI/ML or RAG use cases.
• Solid understanding of data governance, PII handling, and access-control patterns.
• Comfortable moving between fast exploration and disciplined, high-volume production work.
• Working understanding of AI/LLM concepts to discuss AI-ready data with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and build ingestion, cleaning, and transformation pipelines for AI-ready datasets.
• Develop batch and streaming pipelines to feed AI systems reliably.
• Own data quality, including validation and lineage upstream of models.
• Architect RAG data ingestion and vector store workflows at production scale.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers/Architects, mentor junior engineers, and set standards.
