Job summary

Goodnotes is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in Singapore on a hybrid setup. You will design and operate scalable data pipelines and AI-enabled data infrastructure that powers analytics, experimentation, and product decisions at scale.

Work with Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Engineers to build reliable data platforms using Snowflake, dbt, Iceberg, ClickHouse on AWS, with a focus on data quality and observability.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Data Engineer building production-grade data platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and design of scalable data pipelines and models.
• Experience building cloud-native data platforms on AWS.
• Experience with batch and streaming data systems (Kafka, Confluent, Pulsar or similar).
• Focus on data quality, testing, monitoring, observability, and reliability.
• Excellent collaboration across engineering, product and data teams.
• A track record of ownership and solving complex data problems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and data models powering analytics and AI.
• Develop a modern data platform with cloud-native architectures on AWS.
• Create real-time streaming pipelines for near real-time analytics.
• Improve data reliability through testing, monitoring, and observability.
• Enable self-service analytics for cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Analytics Engineers and Data Scientists to ship trusted datasets.
• Apply AI to enhance engineering productivity and platform capabilities.
