Job summary

Goodnotes is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to advance the Data Platform, building AI-native data infrastructure for analytics, experimentation and product decisions. You’ll work with Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists and Product Engineers to design scalable pipelines, models, and systems across the data stack.

The role emphasizes cloud-native design on AWS with Snowflake, dbt and Iceberg, plus real-time streaming experiences.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Data Engineer building production-grade data platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and experience designing scalable data pipelines and data models.
• Experience designing and operating modern cloud-native data platforms on AWS.
• Experience building batch and streaming data platforms using Kafka, Confluent, Apache Pulsar, or similar messaging systems.
• Strong understanding of data quality, testing, monitoring, observability, and operational excellence.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across engineering, product, and data teams.

Responsibilities

• Design pipelines, models and systems powering analytics, experimentation, AI and product decisions.
• Shape platform and tooling to be scalable, reliable and easy to use.
• Leverage AI to improve engineering productivity and automate repetitive work.
• Partner with Product Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, and stakeholders to build trusted datasets.
