Senior Data Engineer (Salary: S$7000 to S$10000)

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the planning, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, performance optimization, and data compliance of the company's production databases.

• Formulate and implement standards for database changes, access controls, backups, routine inspections, and emergency response; establish and enforce data compliance protocols.

• Promptly identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks, operational anomalies, and production incidents.

• Collaborate with the R&D team on SQL reviews, query optimization, and the establishment of database usage guidelines.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field; possess 5+ years of relevant experience in database-related roles; proficient in technologies related to data development, operations, and governance.

• Familiar with database or caching systems such as MySQL and Redis; proficient in one or more SQL standards; familiar with database products from at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).

• Capable of database performance diagnosis and tuning; able to independently resolve issues such as slow queries, lock contention, master-slave replication lag, connection anomalies, and resource bottlenecks.

• Strong awareness of risk management and change control; exercises caution and adheres to standards when operating in production environments. Highly responsible with the ability to clearly resolve production incidents.

• Solid communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams; capable of clearly explaining complex technical issues and driving their resolution. Willing to undertake necessary on-call duties and emergency incident response.
