Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd is seeking an IT professional to conduct impact analysis for system changes and to design, develop, and deploy MSSQL/T-SQL scripts, packages, procedures, functions and triggers. The role emphasizes SDLC documentation and adherence to coding standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in MS SQL Server development, familiarity with SDLC, and strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills in a technical environment.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Banking and Finance, or related field.
• At least 2 years hands-on experience in MS SQL Server development, including SSIS packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to multitask and deliver high-quality solutions in a challenging technical environment.
• Deep understanding of database management systems and concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence stakeholders effectively.

Job description

• Conduct impact analysis for system changes, assessing their effects on upstream and downstream processes.
• Design, develop, and deploy programs, shell batch scripts, and complex MSSQL and T-SQL scripts, including packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers, while adhering to organizational coding standards and best practices.
• Utilize programming methodologies, document technical processes, and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
• Deliver projects and enhancements in compliance with organizational SDLC processes by preparing and updating SDLC documentation, such as functional and technical specifications, test plans, test cases, release procedures, operational guides, and user manuals.
• Participate in design and code reviews, incorporating security and data flow requirements, and ensuring alignment with architectural specifications.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform regular maintenance tasks, and provide ad-hoc IT support, including data management and user inquiries.
• Ensure system stability, quality, and efficiency by managing the operating environment, identifying improvement opportunities, coordinating deployments, and addressing risks or issues promptly.

Job Requirements:
