Job summary

Equinix Asia Pacific is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer III to support operation, maintenance, and reliability of mission-critical data center infrastructure. This role performs a broad range of maintenance and operational activities while applying technical knowledge and established procedures to resolve issues and support site operations.

Working as part of a collaborative team, the engineer helps ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations while continuing to develop expertise

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Typically 1–3 years of experience in critical facilities, facilities operations, data center operations, or related environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems to support reliable operations.
• Monitor the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and respond to alarms, supporting resolution efforts.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance activities within the data center.
• Prepare and maintain site documentation, permits, logs, and Maintenance Operation Protocols (MOPs).
• Identify infrastructure risks and propose recommendations to reduce Single Points of Failure (SPOFs).
• Respond to site incidents and assist investigations to improve reliability and resilience.
