Job description

As a Senior Data & Analytics Health Specialist, you will be responsible for developing the analytic vision of our offerings, as well as leading a team of data scientists and data engineers in executing that vision, aligning to the productization and AI strategies of Amplify Health.

This role sits within the Data & Analytics team and is a vital link between technical expertise, product development, and operations. It requires coordination between product management, tech, commercial, operations, legal & risk, and AI leads to ensure development of best‑of‑breed analytical products.

Responsibilities

• Understanding the health analytical landscape to inform the product development process, identifying areas in which data and analytics can enhance and support the product offering for a competitive advantage
• Assisting product owners in formulation of the product solution road map by engaging with both commercial and technical stakeholders, balancing complexity and feasibility of build relative to client value and market requirements
• Leading the conceptualisation, design, and maintenance of the analytical architecture and product specifications, for both internal and external visibility. This involves collaboration and co‑ordination with technical experts and stakeholders across the business
• Oversight of product delivery outcomes and planning by working with our market leads, delivery teams, and project managers, including Responsible Use of AI evaluations
• Creation of internal and external documentation, including assistance in marketing material and presentations, demonstrating technical knowledge, client value and customer journeys
• Assisting in the creation of an enabling environment for product delivery through the adoption of governance processes, standards and frameworks
• Communication across the organisation from staff to executive level

Qualifications

• Proven success developing healthcare analytics products, especially with large amounts of data in cloud environments
• Experience in the areas of disease / population health, program reporting, and healthcare ROI calculations preferred
• Leadership of end‑to‑end product design process from ideation to delivery and maintenance
• Knowledge of wellness data, wearables data, and health insurance data, as well as an interest in emerging AI technologies and analysis of unstructured data (chat, photos)
• Experience leading teams, ideally including off‑shore team members
• Ability to take client and internal feedback to improve delivery and convert into champions
• Rigorous ability to problem‑solve and to continually improve teams, including via Agile
• A bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, healthcare related, or similar
• A master's degree in a related field preferred
• Extensive experience in healthcare analytics
