Job summary

Trip.com Group, a global travel platform, seeks a BI/Data Analyst in Singapore to extract and analyze large datasets from our data warehouse using SQL and Python. You will partner with local and global teams to translate insights into data-backed recommendations for business strategy.

You will apply advanced analytics, drive ad-hoc analyses, and contribute to analytical models, while nurturing a data-driven culture across the Singapore business unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business, Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• 2-5 years of proven experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
• Solid experience in commercial/business analysis, preferably within the consulting firm or E-commerce industries.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data querying and manipulation.
• Understanding of statistical concepts and strong capability in mathematics.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and advanced analytics (e.g., regression, decision tree, clustering, time series & forecasting).
• Passionate about data science and the power of data to solve real-world business problems.
• Genuine interest in and curiosity about the travel and hotel industry.
• Excellent logical, structured, and analytical thinking skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Extract, process, and analyze large datasets from our data warehouse using SQL and Python.
• Perform deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and diagnose business problems.
• Partner closely with local Singapore teams (Supply, Operations, Marketing) and global HQ teams to understand business needs and provide data-backed recommendations.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives.
• BI Product Contribution: Collaborate with the central teams to improve analytical models and products, ensure data quality, and advocate for the analytical needs of the Singapore business.
