Job summary

OLLION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer focused on business intelligence and data visualization, with hands-on Qlik Sense and AWS-native platforms. You will bridge raw data and business value by delivering dashboards, reports, and scalable pipelines.

You will work with stakeholders to gather requirements, design data models, and ensure governance and security across the BI ecosystem. This role demands strong communication and mentoring to uplift the team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on experience with Qlik Sense (scripting, expressions, dashboard design).
• 3+ years using AWS-native data services (Glue, Redshift, Athena, S3).
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles, BI design standards, and user experience.
• Solid SQL skills and experience with data modeling (dimensional, star/snowflake).
• Proven ability to work closely with business users and translate their needs into BI solutions.
• Experience implementing role-based access, metadata management, and data security controls.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Qlik Sense to support data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate BI/reporting requirements into technical solutions.
• Build and manage data pipelines using AWS services (Glue, S3, Redshift, Athena) to support reporting needs.
• Design data models and curated datasets optimized for self-service analytics and visualization.
• Drive data storytelling through insightful visualization, KPIs, and business metrics.
• Implement data governance, access controls, and quality checks across the BI ecosystem.
• Optimize dashboard performance and usability for executives and business teams.
• Experience managing the Qlik Sense server environment, including installation, configuration, optimisation.
• Set up and manage security rules, access control, and user roles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to dashboard performance, access, or data connectivity
• Support UAT, rollout, and adoption of BI solutions within the organization.
• Provide technical mentorship to team members on best practices in BI and cloud data engineering
