Job summary

Maestro Human Resource Pte Ltd is seeking a Qlik Sense Data Engineer with strong SQL and AWS ETL experience to own the full data pipeline from AWS sources to Qlik Sense dashboards. The role requires building and maintaining data models, load scripts, and reports for business and IT stakeholders.

You will design scalable ETL processes, optimize data pipelines, and automate recurring reporting tasks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and timely insights.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on SQL experience with complex queries and optimization.

Responsibilities

Qlik Sense Data Engineer (SQL / AWS ETL)

Experience Level Mid-Senior (3-6+ years)

About the Role

We are looking for a Qlik Sense Data Engineer with strong SQL and AWS data engineering experience to join our BI/Analytics team. This role will own the full data pipeline - from extracting and transforming data across our AWS environment (Snowflake, RDS, and Glue) to building and maintaining reporting solutions in Qlik Sense. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing complex SQL and ETL logic as they are building dashboards and reports for business and management stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and optimize complex SQL scripts to extract, transform, and validate data from AWS RDS and Snowflake.
• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS Glue (Glue jobs, crawlers, Data Catalog, PySpark scripts).
• Model and structure data in Snowflake to support efficient, scalable reporting (views, incremental loads, CDC via Streams/Tasks).
• Integrate Snowflake/RDS data sources into Qlik Sense, building and maintaining load scripts, data models, and dashboards.
• Design and develop Qlik Sense dashboards and reports for operational and management reporting (e.g., incident/ITSM reporting, KPI tracking).
• Automate recurring reporting workflows, including scheduled reloads, alerts, and distribution of reports (e.g., PPT/Excel exports, Qlik NPrinting).
• Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies across the pipeline - from source systems through Glue transformations to final Qlik Sense reports.
• Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, including Glue job efficiency, Snowflake warehouse sizing/cost, and Qlik Sense reload times.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain documentation for data pipelines, data models, and report logic.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands‑on SQL experience , including complex queries, window functions, CTEs, and query optimization.
• Experience with AWS data services , specifically: AWS RDS - querying, extraction, and performance tuning AWS Glue - building and maintaining ETL jobs, crawlers, and the Data Catalog Snowflake - data modeling, views, performance/cost optimization
• Experience with Qlik Sense , including: Load script development (joins, incremental loads, QVD management) Dashboard/visualization development Set Analysis and expression building
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline design.
• Experience automating and scheduling data refreshes and reports.
• Ability to troubleshoot data quality and pipeline issues end-to-end.
• Strong communication skills - able to work with both technical teams and business/management stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PySpark or Python for custom ETL transformations.
• Experience with Qlik NPrinting for automated report generation.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (AWS Step Functions, Airflow, EventBridge).
• Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira Service Management) as a data source.
• Knowledge of data security/PII handling best practices across cloud pipelines.
• Snowflake certification or AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics).
• Experience with Qlik Sense Enterprise administration (security rules, streams, Section Access).

• Reliable, well-documented ETL pipelines from RDS/Snowflake into Qlik Sense with minimal manual intervention.
• Accurate, timely reporting for business and management stakeholders.
