Job summary

Flight Centre Travel Group is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for Asia to transform complex data into actionable insights and influence regional decisions.

You will lead analytics projects, develop predictive models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven strategies that create real impact in a fast-moving travel business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4–6 years' experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related field.
• Proven experience working with large datasets and performing advanced statistical analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python/R; Power BI experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that drive business decisions.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI.
• Present data findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Conduct statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and hypothesis testing to solve complex business problems.
• Build predictive models and automated solutions using machine learning algorithms and data mining techniques.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data-driven strategies.
• Work with Data Engineering and Data Governance teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
• Define data requirements and specifications to ensure accurate data collection.
• Train and mentor junior data analysts to elevate the team's technical skills.
• Identify opportunities to automate data processing, reporting, and analysis workflows.
• Utilize Python and SQL to optimize and scale analytics processes.
• Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics.

What You Will Do

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
• 4–6 years' experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related field
• Proven experience working with large datasets and performing advanced statistical analysis
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python/R for data manipulation and modeling
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and solve complex problems
• Excellent data visualization skills with ability to present insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Deep understanding of data governance, quality, and management practices
• Excellent communication and presentation skills—both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
• Ability to work independently and in teams, managing multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and tools is a bonus
