Job summary

Sonova is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Incident Response professional to lead global incident responses and advise senior management on security strategies. You will design and implement security solutions for a complex IT landscape and mentor security engineers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of domain-specific experience with international exposure, strong collaboration, and deep IT security expertise. Hybrid work with global impact is offered.

Senior Cyber Security Incident Response

Manage activities to establish Sonova's IT security and monitor possible risks. Lead complex incident responses and advice senior management on security strategies on a global / enterprise level. Select, design and assist with the implementation of security solutions for our global IT system landscape.

More about the role:

  • Designs and Implements policies, procedures and controls, within the IT security management framework that meet defined regulations and standards for IT security.
  • Analyze business needs as well as complex technology-related security threats, risks or issues and implement measures for the protection of critical systems.
  • Coordinate and monitor regular security checks and risk assessments and drive the development of escalation procedures and report on various risk scenarios and remedial measures to senior management.
  • Ensure that security is sufficiently implemented into development, selection, installation, configuration and roll-out of hardware, applications and software.
  • Communicate to stakeholders about the status and impact of security incidents. support on complex IT security related queries to the business and conducts IT security trainings across different audiences.
  • Handle severe or complex IT security or data breach incidents.
  • Functionally lead an IT security team and/or mentors less experienced security specialists/engineers.
  • Ensure IT supplier delivery on time, on quality and on cost.
  • Stay compliant and secure.

More about you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher education in information management, computer science, business management or similar.
  • At least 8 years domain-specific experience with 2 years international experience.
  • Experience with for the role relevant technologies, solutions, methodologies.
  • Keep updated on latest IT technologies, trends and developments relevant to your role.
  • Experience in dealing with IT suppliers, financial budgeting, control and reporting.
  • Evaluates complex situation, make decisions with broader business impact, and provides guidance to others.
  • Embrace and implement change.
  • Service oriented with an innovative drive, Self-starter, Flexible of mind.
  • Strong collaborational, intercultural, interpersonal and communication skills on management level.
  • Can deal with conflicts.
  • Deep understanding of:
  • Advanced IT-security architecture
  • Cyber Security Fundamentals
  • Vulnerability Management
  • IT security architecture on IT networking, scripting and IT OS
  • In-depth knowledge and awareness of regulatory and compliance related requirements
  • Professional written and verbal communication in English. Other languages are considered a plus.
