Job summary

Health Sciences Authority is seeking a Crime Scene Forensic Officer in Singapore to strengthen crime scene management, documentation, and processing of evidence. You will work with investigators and forensic specialists to preserve evidential value and support court proceedings.

The role includes developing workflows, training frontline officers, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while maintaining readiness of equipment and resources.

Qualifications

• Background in forensic science, life sciences, chemistry, biology, criminology or related discipline is preferred.
• Certification or training in crime scene investigation or evidence management would be advantageous.
• Experience in crime scene work, forensic examination, investigation or evidence management is advantageous.
• Familiarity with chain of custody requirements and court processes is desirable.
• Physically fit and prepared to attend scenes and support deployments.

Responsibilities

• Attend and support management of crime scenes and scenes of forensic interest.
• Document, photograph, sketch, search, recover and preserve physical and trace evidence.
• Maintain chain of custody and evidential documentation for recovered exhibits.
• Support investigations by identifying evidence sources and appropriate forensic strategies.
• Develop crime scene workflows, SOPs and evidence-handling procedures.
• Plan and deliver forensic awareness and crime scene management training.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and evidential standards.
