is seeking a Senior Crane Engineer to act as the technical authority for the VE3500 crane system, overseeing boom repair, crane readiness and lifting systems during drydock execution for Singapore & China. You will own the crane scope, coordinate OEM interfaces, repair drawings, welding procedures and Class submissions, and lead workpack integration for boom, wire rope, hook, brake and control systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, structural or marine engineering.
• 10+ years in offshore heavy-lift cranes or crane commissioning.
• Experience with welding, NDT, and structural repair control.
• Strong knowledge of ABS/Class interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Own crane technical scope, repair register, and lifecycle recommendations.
• Coordinate OEM interfaces, repair drawings, materials, welding procedures and Class submissions.
• Lead boom, wire-rope, hook, brake, and control-system workpack integration.
• Review lifting plans, temporary supports, and heavy-lift methods.
• Define ITP, NDT, and acceptance requirements.
• Prepare and supervise crane testing and certification.
• Verify rigging traceability and crane documentation.
• Support readiness reviews and manage crane limitations.
• Plan future boom replacement and lifecycle interfaces.

Duration: 12 months (Contract)

About the Role:We are seeking a Senior Crane Engineer to act as the technical authority for the VE3500 main crane system. This is a critical role overseeing boom repair, crane readiness, and lifting systems during drydock execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the crane technical scope, repair register, OEM interfaces and lifecycle recommendations.
• Coordinate ZPMC engineering, repair drawings, materials, welding procedures and Class submissions.
• Lead boom, wire-rope, hook, sheave, brake, slip-ring, transformer, VFD and control-system workpack integration.
• Review lifting plans, access, temporary supports, heavy lifts and component-handling methods.
• Define ITP, NDT, dimensional, alignment and acceptance requirements.
• Coordinate repair execution, witness points and condition-found dispositions.
• Prepare and control crane functional testing, proof/load testing and certification.
• Verify lifting-gear traceability, rigging certification and final crane documentation.
• Support operational-readiness reviews and remove or formally manage crane limitations.
• Maintain future boom-replacement and lifecycle strategy interfaces without confusing optional upgrades with baseline repair.

Requirements:

• Degree in mechanical, structural or marine engineering. Lifting-engineering or LEEA-equivalent competence is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in offshore heavy-lift cranes, structural repair, lifting appliances or crane commissioning.
