The ideal candidate has 8–14 PQE with Tier 1 credentials, a blend of law firm and in-house experience, and proven TMT experience supporting product, sales and marketing teams. Expect high responsibility and broad regulatory exposure.

SD Legal is recruiting a Senior Counsel - TMT on behalf of a mainstream, highly branded technology platform headquartered in Singapore for the APAC region. This role reports directly into the C-Suite and offers full autonomy on transactions and commercial work.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Experience: 8 - 14 Post Qualification Experience (PQE) with a mixture of law firm and in-house experience.


• Credentials: Tier 1 education and law firm credentials.


• Domain Expertise: Proven experience in Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT).


• Functional Exposure: Experience supporting product, sales, and marketing teams.


• Soft Skills: Ability to build rapport quickly, friendly disposition, high standards on work output, and a driven yet non-aggressive approach.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Partner and support deal teams with new and ongoing commercial deal flow globally, playing a lead role in complex commercial and regulatory negotiations.


• Provide real-time legal advice and longer-term strategy-aligned input to product, sales, and marketing teams with critical legal sign-off.


• Anticipate cross-border challenges and regulatory obstacles ahead of time, allocating resources appropriately with the help of in-country counsel and external vendors.


• Ensure sales and marketing alignment with platform policies and compliance with regional laws and regulations across Asia.


• Liaise with colleagues on global products and projects, including cross-overs with the US and EMEA.
