Job summary

Fuku is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable services in Java using Spring Framework and Spring Boot within a microservices setup. You will build RESTful APIs and event-driven services with Kafka, and operate microservices in Docker and Kubernetes environments.

The role requires collaboration with analysts and architects to deliver secure, high-performance banking solutions, plus a strong focus on code quality, testing, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience with Core Java, Spring in enterprise backend development.
• Proven track record in microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Banking or financial services domain experience, preferably in payments or transaction systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Core Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven services utilizing Kafka to support high-volume banking transactions and systems.
• Develop, deploy, and manage microservices in containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure and high-performance solutions that meet banking requirements.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, performance optimization, and adherence to enterprise development standards.
