Job summary

SIM is seeking an experienced Senior Group Accountant in Singapore to manage financial reporting, consolidation, and compliance across entities. You will lead a small team, prepare journal entries, and coordinate audits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires strong SFRS/MFRS knowledge, SAP S/4HANA experience, and leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate holds a accounting degree (ACCA or equivalent) with at least 5 years of relevant experience and a proven supervisory track

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of SFRS, MFRS, and regulatory/reporting requirements.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA is preferred; advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for compliance with SFRS and MFRS.
Prepare revenue and direct expense journal entries and review entries by analysts.
Ensure timely preparation of financial reports with meaningful variance analysis.
Assist in monthly group consolidation and intercompany eliminations.
Coordinate audits, prepare draft audited financial statements, and support transfer pricing work.
Lead, coach, and develop junior team members during month-end close.
