Job summary

Virtusa is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer to join our Singapore team. You will work on Java/Spring Boot backend services and Angular-based frontend interfaces, with Oracle/PL/SQL as the data backbone.

You will design RESTful APIs, implement secure integrations, and participate in an Agile SDLC with CI/CD tooling. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and producing clear technical designs are key expectations.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Frontend UI design with component-based architecture.
• Oracle database design and PL/SQL, including performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of API design, JSON/XML processing and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

Full‑Stack Developer (Spring Boot, Angular, Oracle/PL/SQL)

Role Overview A hands-on Full-Stack Developer focusing on Java/Spring Boot for the backend, Angular for the frontend, and Oracle/PL/SQL for the database, with integration to various services. Exposure to Finastra LoanIQ is a plus but not mandatory.

Application Development

Design and implement RESTful services using Java 11+ / Spring Boot. Develop responsive UIs with Angular (v12+), Type , and RxJS. Model database schemas and optimize Oracle SQL & PL/SQL.

Integration & Data

Build secure integrations with REST/SOAP APIs, handling XML/JSON. Implement messaging patterns and batch jobs.

DevOps & SDLC

Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies, contributing to grooming, estimation, and demos. Utilize CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab) and Git workflows.

Collaboration

Partner with cross-functional teams and produce clear technical designs and API specifications.

Required Skills & Experience (Must-have)

• Experience 6–10 years in professional software development.
• Backend Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Frontend Component-based UI design.
• Database Experience with Oracle database design and PL/SQL (including performance tuning).
• General Strong understanding of API design, error handling, JSON/XML processing, and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

• Domain Finastra LoanIQ concepts (data model, lifecycle, SDK/APIs, batch & notices).
• Messaging Kafka, Tibco, IBM MQ.
• Cloud/Containerization Docker, Kubernetes, Azure/AWS/GCP.
