Our client, a well-established construction group with a long track record in Singapore, is looking for a Senior Project Manager to take charge of major projects from start to finish.
The role
You will be accountable for Safety, Environment, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SEQDC), keeping every project aligned with contractual, statutory and regulatory obligations. You will steer project teams, build strong relationships with key stakeholders and make sure work is completed safely, on time, on budget and to the standard required.
What you will do
- Shape execution strategies, construction methodologies, resource plans and programmes
- Own the commercial side of delivery, including budgets, forecasting, procurement, cost control, contract administration and variations
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WSH regulations, environmental requirements and project-specific plans
- Lead and guide project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
- Anticipate project risks and put the right mitigation measures in place
- Maintain quality standards in line with specifications, codes and client expectations
- Build and sustain relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, utility agencies and senior management
- Take responsibility for approvals, permits and inspections throughout the project
- Run the project through to commissioning, handover, defect rectification and closeout
- Contribute to tender reviews, business development and pre-construction planning as needed
- Drive performance across the full project lifecycle against SEQDC targets
What you bring
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Building or a related field
- 15 to 20 years in construction, of which at least 10 years in project management and senior leadership
- A track record of delivering at least two projects, each valued above S$300 million
- Hands-on exposure to large-scale building, mixed-use, institutional, healthcare, commercial, industrial or infrastructure work
- Solid knowledge of project controls, risk management, procurement, contract administration and cost management
- A thorough understanding of Singapore's construction regulations, authority requirements and approval processes
