Job summary

LONG HIN (S) PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Project Manager / Director to lead construction projects from planning through completion. You will manage execution, safety, budget, and quality, reporting progress, risks, and resource needs to Management.

Candidates with proven experience in school, nursing home, and factory construction will be highly preferred. The role requires strong leadership and stakeholder management across clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by relevant boards.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in building construction projects.
• At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership position.
• Experience with school, nursing home, and factory construction projects is preferred.
• Experience with main contractor projects will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects from inception to handover.
• Report directly to Management and provide regular updates on project progress, risks, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring project objectives, timelines, and quality standards are achieved.
• Develop, monitor, and update project master programmes, identify critical paths, and implement recovery plans when required.
• Lead project teams, site management staff, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review project schedules, manpower deployment, procurement plans, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and claims to ensure financial targets and profitability are achieved.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, and relevant stakeholders to resolve technical, contractual, and operational matters.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Conduct regular site visits, project reviews, and progress meetings to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee contract administration, tender evaluations, procurement activities, and project documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Mentor and develop project team members, fostering a positive and high-performance working environment.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
