Archer Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead large-scale construction projects from inception to completion in Singapore. The role requires high-level technical, contractual, and managerial competencies across commercial, residential, institutional, and design-and-build sectors.
The candidate will manage multi-disciplinary teams, drive value engineering, and provide executive-level reporting and risk management to senior leadership.
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Director to lead and manage large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering complex developments in the commercial, residential, institutional, and design-and-build sectors. This is a senior leadership role requiring high-level technical, contractual, and managerial competencies.
Lead the successful delivery of major construction projects exceeding $150 million in contract value.
Oversee and coordinate all phases of project delivery – design, procurement, construction, and handover.
Develop and implement project execution strategies, budgets, timelines, and quality control measures.
Build and manage multi-disciplinary project teams including consultants, subcontractors, and internal staff.
Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements including safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Drive value engineering and cost efficiency initiatives.
Provide executive-level reporting and risk management to senior leadership.
Actively participate in tendering and business development for future project pipelines.
Education: Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from a PEB-recognized institution.
Experience:
Minimum 20 years of local construction experience in Singapore.
At least 8 years as a Project Director, preferably with tender experience.
Proven track record in full cycle delivery, each over $150 million.
Ideally with commercial, institutional and hi-tech project experience
Strong knowledge of local building codes, project financing, contract management (e.g., SIA, PSSCOC), and authority requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple high-value projects concurrently.
