Job summary

Nscale is hiring an APAC Senior Construction Manager to lead AI data center infrastructure delivery in Singapore and across the APAC region. You will drive safe, on‑time, compliant construction in live or greenfield environments, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors to achieve high-density AI-ready facilities.

The role requires deep technical knowledge, operational rigor, and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering data centre construction and/or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Strong experience in construction execution, document control, and contract administration.
• Proven ability to manage contractors/vendors on tight schedules with complex dependencies.
• Strong understanding of MEP/critical systems delivery and handover.
• Proficiency with project/document platforms (Aconex, Procore, ACC, SharePoint) and MS Office.
• Ability to travel across APAC (30%).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end construction delivery projects for AI/high-density data centre infra in APAC.
• Oversee site enablement works across APAC (fencing, grading, drainage, ponds, seeding, turfing).
• Coordinate with appointed contractors for temporary works, safety, procurement, logistics, site management.
• Develop strategic APAC plans to optimize cost and operations.
• Manage contractors and vendors across MEP, controls/BMS, fire, security, network readiness, fit-out.
• Lead full lifecycle of complex data center builds with timelines and budgets.
• Own construction workflows: approvals, RFIs, submittals, ITPs, NCRs, inspections.
• Drive commissioning readiness and handover with test packs, SAT/FAT, as-builts, O&M.
• Lead document control governance and audit-ready dossiers.
• Run cadence and reporting with weekly updates and risk logs.
• Report to Project Manager on scope, variations, EOTs, and risks.
• Provide updates, risk evaluation and mitigation, forecasting critical works.
• Champion EHS standards and regulatory compliance in APAC.
• Implement risk, issue, change management to mitigate delivery risks.
• Ensure adherence to governance, QA, regulatory compliance, security.
• Maintain risk registers with mitigation plans and stakeholder reporting.
• Travel to sites for reviews, onsite audits, and startup evaluations.

Senior Construction Manager APAC

We are hiring an APAC Construction Lead to deliver AI data center infrastructure construction in Singapore, with regional engagement as needed. You’ll lead fast‑paced, high‑dependency projects in live or new‑build data center environments where you will be driving safe, compliant, on‑time delivery of high‑density AI‑ready infrastructure (power, cooling, white space readiness, commissioning readiness, and handover).

You will own disciplined execution across construction processes, document control governance, and contract administration.

This is a strategic and hands‑on leadership role requiring deep technical knowledge, operational rigor, and strong cross‑functional collaboration. You will be expected to work and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders within the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-endconstruction delivery projectsfor AI / high-density data centre infrastructure inAPAC
• Lead end-to-end delivery of site enablement works across APAC (temporary fencing, grading, drainage, sedimentation ponds, seeding, turfing)
• Work with Appointed Contractors for temporary works, ensuring safety, compliance, procurement, logistics, and site management
• Develop and implement strategic plans for APAC, optimizing cost-effectiveness and operational excellence
• Manage contractors and specialist vendors acrossMEP, controls/BMS, fire, security, network readiness, and fit-out works
• Lead the full lifecycle of complex data center builds (greenfield/retrofits), ensuring compliance with specifications, timelines, and budgets
• Own construction workflows:Authority approvals, RFIs, submittals, ITPs, NCRs, inspections, punch lists, closeout
• Drivecommissioning readiness and handover: test packs, SAT/FAT evidence, as-builts, O&M manuals, training, and turnover to operations
• Leaddocument control governance: version control, approvals, traceability, registers, and audit-ready dossiers
• Run project cadence and reporting: weekly updates,action tracking, issue logs, escalation of blockers, executive-ready reporting
• Report back to Project Manager on scope compliance, variations, EOTs, or anticipated risk to project schedule or milestone delivery
• Provide regular construction updates, risk evaluation and mitigation, forecasting of critical works to leadership
• Champion Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and ensure regulatory compliance in various APAC countries
• Implement and manage comprehensive risk, issue, and change management processes to mitigate delivery risks in complex, high-stakes environments
• Ensure all Data Centre projects and operations adhere to internal governance, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and security standards
• Ensure compliance with global EHS policies and high-risk activity standards.
• Maintain project risk registers with mitigation plans and regular stakeholder reporting
• Travel to sites for site review and work with onsite engineers, as well as provide site progress evaluations, safety audits, and startup as needed

Qualifications
