Bestbuilt Construction Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage full sets of accounts, project costing, and financial compliance within our construction projects.

The role collaborates with project teams to deliver accurate reporting and effective cost control. You will handle AP/AR/GL, budgeting, GST submissions, audits, and year-end closing, with a focus on construction costing, progress claims, and retention.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
• Proficient in QuickBooks.
• Good knowledge of GST and local regulatory requirements.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
• Good communication skills to liaise with project and management teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation).
• Handle project-based accounting, including job costing and cost allocation.
• Monitor project budgets, variations, and cost overruns.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts.
• Process progress claims, subcontractor payments, and retention sums.
• Ensure timely billing and follow-up on outstanding receivables.
• Prepare GST submissions and liaise with auditors and tax agents.
• Support annual audit and year-end closing.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Maintain proper filing of financial and project-related documents.
