Job summary

Crown Worldwide Group is seeking a Senior CAD Designer to translate approved concepts into precise drawings and project records. You will collaborate with Business Development, Project Management and external consultants to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years in CAD drafting and knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM practices. The role involves design coordination, documentation control, and site support on relocations and international projects.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, Industrial Design, Drafting, or related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of experience in CAD drafting, technical documentation, interior fit-out, workspace design, exhibitions, museums, galleries, construction, or related industries.
  • Experience coordinating with contractors, consultants, and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or equivalent software.
  • Produce layout plans, shop drawings, construction drawings, as‑built drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Review drawings for compliance with project specs, regulations, and company standards.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Sales and external consultants to realise design intent.
  • Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, and document control processes.

Senior Computer Aided Design Designer

The CAD & Documentation Designer is responsible for translating approved design concepts and project requirements into accurate technical drawings, construction documentation, and project records. The role supports the successful execution of projects by ensuring all drawings, layouts, specifications, and documentation are complete, coordinated, and aligned with client and operational requirements. The role will work closely with Business Development, Project Management and external consultants to ensure project deliverables are technically accurate, buildable, and delivered within agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Documentation
  • Prepare and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or equivalent software.
  • Produce layout plans, shop drawings, construction drawings, as‑built drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
  • Review and update drawings based on client feedback, site conditions, and design revisions.
  • Prepare technical details and production drawings for project implementation.
Project Coordination
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Sales and external consultants to ensure design intent is accurately translated into execution.
  • Coordinate technical requirements between stakeholders to resolve design and constructability issues.
  • Participate in project meetings and site visits as required.
  • Support project implementation by providing technical clarification and drawing revisions.
Documentation Control
  • Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, and document control processes.
  • Ensure all project documentation is properly filed and version‑controlled.
  • Prepare project handover documentation upon project completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of project changes and approvals.
Site & Operational Support
  • Conduct site measurements and surveys where required.
  • Verify site conditions and identify potential implementation challenges.
  • Assist during installation and project execution phases by providing technical support.
  • Prepare as‑built documentation upon project completion.
  • Support the enhancement of design and documentation standards.
  • Recommend improvements to documentation workflows, templates, and processes.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, drafting technologies, and BIM practices.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, Industrial Design, Drafting, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in CAD drafting, technical documentation, interior fit‑out, workspace design, exhibition, museum, gallery, construction, or related industries.
  • Experience preparing construction and technical documentation.
  • Experience coordinating with contractors, consultants, and project teams.
Technical Skills
  • AutoCAD (mandatory)
  • Revit/BIM experience preferred
  • SketchUp preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adobe Creative Suite (advantageous)
  • Understanding of technical drawing standards and documentation practices
