Job summary

Gunvor in Singapore seeks a Senior Risk Officer to lead daily P&L and risk reporting for the gasoline desk, reporting to the Risk Manager. You will collaborate with traders, operations and back office to ensure accurate performance analysis and robust risk reporting.

The role requires strong derivatives knowledge, experience with ETRM systems, and advanced Excel skills; VBA, Power BI, Python or SQL are a plus. You will maintain risk analytics, monitor VAR, and mentor junior Risk Officers.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, economics, business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of risk/trading desk experience in commodity trading.
• Strong understanding of derivatives and physical trading, including P&L, MTM and hedging concepts.
• Proficiency with ETRM systems and MS Excel; VBA, Power BI, Python or SQL beneficial.
• Fluent in English; Chinese skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily P&L, positions and exposures reporting from trading systems.
• Validate positions and P&L in risk buckets; ensure accurate attribution.
• Monitor MTM of physical deals and forward curves for accuracy.
• Develop and maintain risk analytics to communicate positions and market risk.
• Coordinate with Compliance and other risk/control functions.
