Job summary

Gunvor Singapore Pte. Ltd. seeks a Senior Risk Officer to lead daily P&L and position analysis, ensuring robust risk reporting for the trading region.

The role collaborates closely with traders, operations, trade support, accounting and back office to maintain control over risk and performance reporting. Responsibilities include validating P&L attribution, managing MTM and forward curves, and delivering analytics to Management. Fluent English required; Chinese a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Computing or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years (and typically more than 6 years) of relevant experience in a similar role in commodity trading.
• Strong understanding of derivatives (futures, swaps and options) and physical trading; P&L, MTM and hedging concepts.
• Proficiency with ETRM systems and Microsoft Excel; VBA, Power BI, Python or SQL are advantages.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production and reporting of P&L, positions and exposures from trading systems.
• Validate positions and P&L and ensure accurate attribution into risk buckets and drivers.
• Ensure integrity of trades booked in trading systems and daily checks.
• Reconcile MTM of physical deals and monitor risk positions and curves.
• Develop risk reporting and analytics to communicate positions, P&L and market risk to traders and management.
• Coordinate with Compliance to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
