Job summary

OCBC Singapore invites you to join our commodities trade finance middle office, supporting Global Wholesale Banking. You will monitor client transactions, validate documents, and ensure AML/CFT compliance across deals.

You will collaborate with Relationship Managers, Risk, Operations and clients to assess risk, manage collateral, and secure credit parameters while delivering reliable service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Banking, Finance, Economics with commodities trade finance experience.
• At least 3 years in middle office monitoring of commodities trade finance.
• Experience with AML/CFT requirements and regulatory controls.
• Analytical and risk-focused with ability to balance business and risk considerations.
• Organised, detail-oriented, able to handle multiple accounts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client transactions to ensure credit parameters are met.
• Obtain and review contractual documents before validation by Trade Ops.
• Track end-to-end transaction progress from procurement to sales.
• Review AML/CFT aspects and flag red flags to BU, Risk and RCU.
• Ensure margins are adhered to and arrange cash top ups when required.
• Assess collateral quality via mark-to-market valuation and monitor movements.
• Follow up on exceptions with Relationship Managers for resolution.
• Provide feedback on monitoring and operational experience during credit reviews.
