Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on CNC milling experience.
• Experience with Mastercam programming is required.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of tolerances and precision measuring tools.
• Vocational certification or related mechanical background.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including preparing workpieces, fixtures, cutting tools, and machine settings.
• Develop and modify CNC machining programs using Mastercam software according to engineering drawings and production requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine machining processes and dimensions.
• Perform milling, drilling, slotting, contouring, and other precision machining operations.
• Select suitable cutting tools and adjust cutting speeds, feeds, tool offsets, and machining parameters to achieve the required accuracy.
• Conduct trial runs and inspect machined components to ensure compliance with dimensional tolerances and surface-finish requirements.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to verify finished components.
• Identify machining defects, troubleshoot machine or programming issues, and implement corrective adjustments.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and ensure machines, tools, and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and comply with established production, quality control, and workplace safety procedures.
