Job summary

NCS Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to design scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and lead cloud transformation initiatives across client projects.

You will implement IaC with Terraform and CloudFormation, optimize performance and cost, enforce security and compliance, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with DevOps and development teams on CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in cloud operations and infrastructure deployment.
• Strong AWS expertise with multi-cloud experience.
• Experience with IaC and automation (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Security, compliance, and incident management experience.
• Public sector or regulated industry background preferred.

Job Description

• Design and architect scalable, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS
• Build and maintain cloud environments that meet performance, security, and compliance requirements
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar automation frameworks
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and optimize resource utilization for cost efficiency
• Ensure security best practices are embedded across all cloud deployments and configurations
• Manage incident response and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure issues
• Collaborate with development teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Conduct regular security assessments and compliance audits in line with organizational standards
• Document cloud architecture, processes, and standard operating procedures
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior cloud engineers and cross-functional teams
• Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure lifecycle management
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation, reliability, and operational efficiency
• Support specific client projects requiring AWS cloud infrastructure design and deployment
• Participate in cloud transformation initiatives and migration projects as assigned
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver infrastructure solutions aligned with client requirements
• Provide on-site or remote support for project-specific infrastructure activities as needed

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in cloud operations, administration, and infrastructure deployment
• Strong proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and services
• Demonstrated experience in cloud migrations, automation, and infrastructure as code
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance frameworks in cloud environments
• Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog)
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies and agile delivery practices
• Prior experience in public sector or regulated industries
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional (mandatory)
• Additional AWS specialty certifications (e.g., Security, DevOps, Advanced Networking) are advantageous
