Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional cloud infrastructure or platform engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes, ideally EKS.
• Strong Terraform experience.
• Experience with Argo CD / GitOps.
• Experience deploying and supporting containerised applications.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Scripting or automation experience, ideally Python.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, IAM, observability and security.
• Independent ownership of infrastructure platforms, migrations or major projects.
• Strong communication across distributed teams.

EC1 Partners is working with a leading global financial technology organisation that is expanding its cloud engineering capability in Singapore.

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join a global platform operations team responsible for building and operating highly available cloud infrastructure supporting business-critical applications.

This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on AWS, Kubernetes and infrastructure automation. The environment is continuing to evolve towards cloud-native architecture and microservices, creating significant project work across platform build, migration and automation.

The successful candidate will take genuine ownership of infrastructure projects from design through to delivery, rather than operating solely within a ticket-driven support environment.

The Role

• Design, build and operate cloud infrastructure primarily across AWS
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes / EKS platforms and containerised workloads
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform
• Develop and support GitOps workflows using Argo CD
• Work with Helm Charts and wider Kubernetes tooling
• Lead cloud infrastructure projects from initial design through implementation and operational handover
• Improve CI/CD, automation, observability and platform reliability
• Work closely with application engineering, security and operations teams
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and production issues
• Contribute to technical standards, platform design and engineering best practices
• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production environments

The role is currently expected to be approximately 70% project engineering and 30% operational support, with the project component expected to increase as new initiatives progress.

What We Are Looking For

• 6+ years of professional cloud infrastructure or platform engineering experience
• Strong hands-on AWS experience
• Deep experience with Kubernetes, ideally EKS
• Strong Terraform experience
• Experience with Argo CD / GitOps
• Experience deploying and supporting containerised applications
• Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Scripting or automation experience, ideally Python
• Good understanding of cloud networking, IAM, observability and security
• Evidence of independently owning infrastructure platforms, migrations or major engineering projects
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across globally distributed engineering teams

Experience within financial services, trading or other highly available production environments would be beneficial, but is not essential.
