Job summary

MOTIONAL SINGAPORE PTE. LIMITED in Singapore is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development and deployment of our next-generation Robotaxi platform.

You will architect and build distributed applications running on the vehicle's edge computer, enabling real-time data pipelines between vehicle and cloud for fleet monitoring and safety systems. You will mentor engineers, drive production-ready features, and collaborate with product, cloud, and operations teams to deliver reliable,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in C++ on Linux.
• Experience designing multi-threaded, asynchronous systems with performance and memory considerations.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and OS primitives.
• Experience taking features from concept to production (design, implementation, testing, deployment).
• Comfortable with fast-paced, continuous delivery environments.
• Experience interfacing with cloud-native services (AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT) for telemetry, remote commands and OTA updates.

Responsibilities

• Architect & Build: Design and implement a robust, performance-critical data pipeline for cloud-vehicle interaction.
• Technical Leadership: Lead the design and development of in-vehicle software components for monitoring, dispatch, and control from the cloud.
• System Ownership: Translate goals into concrete system architectures with product, cloud, and Operations teams.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering best practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Define validation strategies with test engineering and operations teams.
